Getting Stuff Done!

Since we have moved into our home, we have been living with out a bunch of things that alot people normaly would have in their home. Of course this is noraml considering this is our first home and we only moved in about 6 months ago!:) But as time goes by we keep trying to add more to our home. It's taking time but we are slowly getting there.

For the last six months I had been checking out options for our Entertainment Center in our living room. I had a friend working on ideas to put a wood cabinet Entertainment Center in but the price for that was hitting alittle to high for what Chris and I really wanted to spend. It's just for a TV and we just don't care enough about our TV to spend grands on the unit it sits on. The wood unit would have looked really good but the price tag was just to high.

But a few weeks ago my mother was flipping through a house magazine (I have tons for ideas) and she came across a picture that gave her an idea. So, we both looked at the space and I drew up an idea that came to my mind that would fit the space we had. After that I had Chris call a friend of ours who is one of the main guys in our neigboorhood who is an overseer over homes being built and we asked him if he could give me a price to build my own. In less then a week he had everyone price it out and just this last Saturday he had the men come in a build it. The nice thing is..... he owns a BMW and asked Chris to do some work on his car in trade for our entertaiment center to be framed out. So now all we have to do is have the lighting put in and the drywaller come drywall. Our finishing cost will be under $500.00. What a blessing!

Here are a few pictures of what it looks like right now.

The out cove close to the fireplace(right side)is for our TV.(This is not the TV that will be there. We are looking to get a 37" or 42" flat screen....we are not into having a HUGE tv in your living room.... we would build a theater room for that) And to the left will be wood shelves for our DVD player, books, and picture Frames. Below will have Baskets for storage. (we are dropping the ledge six more inches down so the gap isn't so big)

Here's what part of our living room looks like right now.We will have this room painted soon(once I can pick the color), shutters put in, a nice sofa, coffee tables, laps, and everything eles it needs.

I was going threw some pictures and I saw these and thought I would post them!

BMW

Every once in awhile there comes a time when people who own cars don't really understand the concept of taking care of them. In these few case Chris and I benefit greatly from there dumb mistakes due to the fact that my husband is a BMW mechanic and a VERY good one at that! So, this past month a car came Chris's way that had a blown engine. To our benefit it would cost any average person about the value of the car to fix it. Making the car not worth the time to the person who ruined it. But to Chris this car cost less then half it's value to go ahead and fix it. So that is what we did. And this is my new Bimmer! (can you guess how much we paid?)

Me in my new car! Chris and I don't have babies but we do have 3 bimmers! I guess are cars our are babies for now!

Soon it will have it's summer rims and a few other things done....it will make it look alot better! You'll see!:)

March

Do you know what comes every year in March.....

That's right.... It's my birthday! (Chris came up with the theme....how cute is that!?)

For my birthday I decided to have my family come over and spend the night. We all stayed up and played board games and talked. It was such a good time. And then the next morning I woke up...and this is what I saw.....

Just out of bed..

The Loft

A hug from Mom...

And then...all my presents! Yeah!

Chris along with my Mom and Allie, all woke up early to decorate for me and cook me breakfast!

Here are a few pictures from gift unwrapping!

During Breakfast... I was delivered 2 boxes of flowers from Chris!

After Presents and Breakfast...Debbie (Chris's mom) came over to visit and then we headed out for Lunch at the Chesse Cake Factory!

When we were all done with lunch we headed back to our place to hangout some more until we had to get ready to go out for the night!

Chris and I

These Pictures were taken for Kristyn Coulter. We both have birthdays in March (were a year and 4 days apart) and we wanted to celebrate together but sometimes miles between can effect that!:) So,here are the pictures we took for her!

After we went out.... it was time to go home and eat some cake!

Me with my beautiful flowers!

Everyone who stuck around for cake!

After my birthday was over... we headed up to the Moutains to go Boarding with my Dad.

And that was my birthday weekend! What a blast!

Time for some Color!

At the end of February begining on March we decided to get a move on painting. I have had such a hard time decideding what color to paint each room. Finally we were able to choose one for our master bathroom. We are not done yet....but we are getting there. We still have to put crown molding up, tile, decor, and we have to replace the light fictures and faucets. But here are a few pictures of the progress we have made so far.

My inspiration...we aren't decorating it the exact same way...but we are going to use some of their good ideas! (We will be putting up Fames infront of each sink over the mirrors to break up the huge mirror look as in the picture below)

Our Bathroom Before....

In the process of Painting....

Were still not done... but this is what it looks like at this point in time!:)

Now you have to wait and see what we do to it next!

Don't worry... I can take him!:) haha!

February

Everytime February comes around, I know I have alot of planning to do. Why? Because it's Miss Allie birthday and I always help plan her party! Below are some of the pictures from her party so you can see what Chris and I were busy doing during the month of February. (And what a good time we had)

As you can see... Allie had a Clown Party!

Walking The Plank

A bunch of clowns

Furture Boyfriends...maybe!

At the end of the Party they all had to do something "clown" like

Poor Chris...we made him do his hair funny!

A few days later we went to Chuck E Cheeses (We also go there every year for her b-day)
