Falls coming and it's gettin' colder....

There's just not enough hours in one day it seems. Sunday we didn't have to much planned. But when we woke up we decided we wanted to be productive so we called some friends to see if they could go to Home Depot with us.(The ones that have trucks) Chris and I wanted to pick up the wood to try and start building our shelves for our entertainment center. No one seemed to pick up or be free. So, Chris and I decided we would just get ready and figure out something else. Soon after Sarah called and they asked if we could go to lunch with them. So we all meet for lunch and Todd said we could use his truck. He needed to pick up some new trim for his house anyways. We all ended up going to Home Depot together. Todd helped us out a lot. He knows a lot more about wood and staining and all that stuff. So that was a blessing.

Here are the colors of stain I have to choose from.... Kinda hard to pick the right color from this....

After that we all ended up hanging out in the alley way. Then Chris and I needed to make dinner by this point. During dinner Sean, Heather, and Christan came by. Christan was crying so they wanted a change of environment. So we all got to hang out and talk about house projects. All of the neighbors want to help each other get stuff done and share tools. It's so helpful and will save us all some money. Then Christan had to go to bed but Chris needed some help with the washer being moved in so Sean came back over to help him while I went down to the other neighbors to pass out some invites for a party Stephanie and Adam are having. I ended up visiting with Stephany and Drew for along time. It just seems that theres so much to do and not enough time to do everything. But we are really enjoying everybody and we all are looking forward to helping each other out and enjoying the Holiday season together!

Monday Heather needed a ride to the Doctors because she is pregnant and out of a car. So, I took her there. Then my Mom and Allie came by for a little. Chris was checking out some things on the truck. It was nice to hang out with them.

Yesterday I took it easy. Today I have to get some house cleaning done. And for the rest of the week I will be helping Stephanie out at her job. She works for the Marketing Department at Red Robin and asked if I wanted to help her get some stuff done and make a little money. So that should be fun. Hopefully I am productive for her and I don't mess to much up!:)That's about it for now. I need to get some stuff done.

Here's a picture of our entertainment center. You can kinda see where we want shelfs. Off to the left side and maybe one over the T.V. Oh and we got a new TV awhile back. We had a gift card and it was going to drop money off of it so we had to buy something. It's not something we necessarily want to spend money on but we also didn't want to loose money either. Oh well. It fills in a gap, right!

Oh and I have to add this too.....

Is she cute or what!

It's the weekend already......

Well, it was a busy week for us. My mom came over Thursday to help me organize the basement. I really needed some help out. There's was tons to get down. We didn't finish everything but we sure worked hard all day and made lots of progress. We cleared out an area for Chris so he'd have a work out place. It looks really nice. I don't have pictures at the moment but I will try and take some.

Oh, my flowers FINALLY arrived on Wednesday but they forgot the bear. So I received a bear on Thursday. It was a huge mess. But we figured out the problem. Chris ordered from ProFlowers and ProFlowers doesn't deliver on Sunday so they sent it to a side company who then turned and sent it to another side company called U Flowers. NEVER order from them. They lied the whole time and never called the florist until Wednesday at 2:00 in the afternoon. U Flowers claimed that the florist messed up. They feed us lie after lie and we caught them. So, now I have to report the company. WOW. All for flowers. Oh well, it gives us something to remember and laugh about! It's better to laugh at it then get angry!

Here's the beautiful flowers Chris sent me....

Here's my bear and all our cards with the flowers....

Friday I was super tired but I managed to clean the house. That night we went our to Todd and Sarah's house for dinner and then they came over here for dessert. Later on that night our other neighbors Adam and Stephanie came over. It was a lot of fun. Todd and Chris are pretty similar and they both tend to fall asleep in the middle of conversations so we kept an eye on them. It was pretty funny. We were talking about planning a snow boarding trip because Sarah and I are both learning so we thought it would be more enjoyable to learn together. Maybe in January. We will see.

Today Chris and I were kinda lazy. Stephanie and Adam invited us over to there house for lunch and also so I could help her make invitations for their/our football party. Steph and I worked on the invites while Chris and Adam watched Wedding Crashers. After that we went to the store and I cooked an early dinner while Chris worked on getting stuff done in the house. It was a nice day. Tomorrow we plan to be lazy some more and maybe install the washer and dryer.

That's about it for now.... here are some pictures that Miro took of us a few months back. He just sent them to me! It's funny cause Chris had just got back from work and we made him get in the picture. He was worried he'd look to dirty. I told him, it's Miro, you'll look hot don't worry!

I love this picture. It's going in our bedroom... somewhere!

One Year Already!

Wow, the year went by fast for us! A lot happened both good and bad but overall we feel blessed and we feel we have plenty to celebrate and Thank God for!

Our weekend was pretty busy. But very enjoyable. Saturday we had to run on some errands in the Springs. After that we headed up to Highlands Ranch to grab some drinks with our neighbor friend Coby. Then we headed back home and while we were home one of our neighbors (Sean, Heather and Christian) came by to bring us this gift......It totally matches our house! IT was a very nice surprise!

They stayed over for awhile. And we all visited. We were suppose to go see one of our neighbors do stand up Comedy at a Coffee Shop near by but he had the times wrong so we weren't able to make it.

The next morning. (Sunday) Chris and I got up and headed out to the Italian Festival @ BelMar. We spent most of our day there. It was a lot of fun and a lot good food.

Flag Show..... we got to speak with a few of the men. They are from Florence, Italy. Some of them speak English. They all say they like Colorado and the women are very beautiful! :)

They spend so much time drawing these things and then they end up getting washed away. It's so sad! But very beautiful to look at!

While we were walking around and trying food I saw this shirt and I had to buy it for Chris. A few days before Chris had said how he feels like he's Italian because I cook him so many Italian dishes. And I told him that when you marry an Italian you become one! He laughed. So when we saw the shirt we had to buy it. There was another shirt that said, "Pray for me, I am married to an Italian"! (I should have bought it for my Mom)

We ended up meeting up with my parents. And we got to watch Allie stomp Grapes. They actually bottle this for wine and you can buy they bottle the following year. It's called "little feet". I wish I could have stomped those grapes! It looked like a lot of fun. There was a lot more going on this year then the following years. Which is nice.

After Allie Stomped the grapes we went to find my Aunt Rita. She was over taking score for the games of Bocce Ball.

She had signed up for the next game but no one was signed up so Allie and her played with two other woman. Allie and My Aunt Rita were on separate teams. It was so much fun to watch Allie compete against my Aunt. She kept staring her down. IT was SO CUTE! Allie ended up winning the game for them!

Chris and I watching the game!

My Beautiful Mother and I. (she hates the camera....but I make her take pictures anyways...she smiles funny for the camera but I think it's adorable)

After my Dad got done watching the cooking class he came over to watch Allie beat my Aunt! :)

We ended up hanging around and eating more food. And then we headed to dinner. After dinner my parents came by and we opened some cards. Another neighbor friend Stephanie brought buy some homemade goodies and a card from her and Adam for us! It was so nice of our neighbors to think of us. After that my parents headed home and Chris and I hung out.

We were super tired. But I had planned breakfast and Dinner for Chris for our Anniversary and we decided to go to the Italian Festival instead so we decided we would Just cook on Monday. So that's what we did. Chris had taken Monday off to Hangout with me. It was so nice!

I bought Chris an ebelskiver pan for our anniversary so we could make these pancakes.

So I got up to cook......

But needed some help....(It ended up taking us 2 hours. We made everything from scratch. But we had fun cooking together and we listened to our wedding music while we cooked. It was very romantic and fun)

Our Table was waiting for breakfast!!!

And Finally our food was ready.... and it was worth it!

After Breakfast which was ready by like noon. We cleaned the Kitchen and I started preparing food for dinner. And then we shared some of our breakfast with the neighbors. It made A LOT of food. The rest of the day we just hung out. IT was a foggy day so we didn't feel like doing much. But we really needed to just chill for a day anyways!

Here's our dinner that I made for Chris!

Picture together before dinner!

Chris had ordered me roses that were suppose to come early Sunday morning.... they never came. So Chris called that evening and they said they would have more out to me by Monday and or a call to fix the problem. Nothing came and No phone call. So he called again and told them that they owe his wife an apologie letter with another set of roses from them for messing up. They said they would have them here today. We shall see. Normally ProFlowers is good. dun dun dun!

Oh and we plan to have "broken" necklaces made. So we each have a piece and the other has the matching one. Once we get some extra cash we will do so. That's our gift to each other!

So that's our weekend! We sure enjoyed it!

It's Been a YEAR!!!

Cheers!

We can't believe it's been a year already! We have been through so much since our wedding and grown so much closer because of it! Couldn't be more thankful for what God has done in our lives. God has truly blessed us!

Happy Anniversary!
I love you Chris!

Busy ,Busy!

Wow, it's been a busy week for us. We've spent so much time trying to get everything done. Our laundry room was a mess. Phone books, toilet paper, light bulbs, brooms, everything you need to use was thrown in there. It was the room we didn't care about. :) But now that we have a washer and dryer I figured it was time to make way! So this past week we have been cleaning the laundry room and cleaning the washer and dryer. Oh and guess what.... Chris fixed the Washer for only $15.00!!! I am SO proud of him. He is such a handyman. I wish I had that talent. After Chris replaced the part he told me he needed a part and could we run to Walmart. Once we get home I am cleaning the Kitchen from dinner and he calls me out side. I asked him what he was doing. He said before I drag this darn thing in the house I wanted to make sure it really did run. He had our washer hooked up to the hose running a cycle. I was so impressed. I would have never thought to do that... But that's why I have him! So I don't have to worry about those things!:)

Here's Chris working on the Washer.... I helped him cleaned it. I took over 2 hours. It was super dirty!

I really got to learn exactly how a washer works. It was actually pretty cool!

I don't have a picture of the laundry room before but this is what it looked/looks like now. I am still not finished!

Before Toilet paper, Paper Towels, Phone Books, and all were Shoved up on the top shelf. I told Chris NOT again. So we bought these Canvas Totes. It only cost us like 35.00 to get organized. To me that's not bad at all!

Above the Totes I want the words that say LAUNDRY and some old vintage looking signs. I haven't found them yet.

Here's our wall organizer. I have to have Chris put it back up! Once the washer and dryer are in and things are finished I will take more pictures!

And besides that I have been cooking food like no other. I have learned a lot. That was my plan for these next few months until I figure out what I am doing. I told Chris I have to design our wedding album, learn to cook, and learn to back desserts again, and finish some projects like organizing our basement. And then I will be happy. So that's my goals for now! We also seem to visit people every night. Even if it's for like 30min. We always are doing something. We have made such good friends. It's so funny to walk next door to your friends house. We bake and try each others food. But then we also have our own space which is nice. So it's been good!

Today my mom came up to help me with my basement. We ended up running errands and enjoying food. We did a little work. But we will finish another day. We are both tired today!

Well, that's about it for now. Our 1 year anniversary is Sunday. We don't have tons of extra money to spend because we are trying to build up our savings and pay off bills. Plus we did celebrate in June and went out to eat while we were there. So I am going to make him one of his favorite meals which is also one of my favorites as well. So it should be nice. I can't believe it's been one year already. Man does time fly!

Well, that's it for now! Have a great weekend everyone!

Falls coming...

First and For most......

I can't believe it's been 6 years already. It still feels like yesterday. :(

_______________________________________________________

Last night was a success on cooking dinner. I made some Pasta e Fagioli Soup and Cheese and Rosemary Bread Sticks. Boy was it sure yummy. The recipe's are out of Giada De Laurentiis Cook Books. So far everything from her cook books have been yummy. So if you like Italian Food, you should try some of her recipe's out! My family (except dad,he was busy working) came by to pick up the car Chris had put tires on for them. So, they all enjoyed dinner with us. After dinner we went for a walk in our neighborhood. It was a cool but very beautiful evening last night.

After our walk we were having contests to who could run faster in front of our house and Sean and Heather saw us so they came outside with Christian. Christian seemed to have lots of energy so Allie helped follow him around.

While Allie was busy following Christian, we were all talking about how excited we were for fall and how a nice cup of Hot Chocolate sounded really good. Well my mom and Allie had to run on errands so we went with and picked up some nice Hot CoCo sets and headed back over to Sean and Heathers house and enjoyed it together. It was a pretty enjoyable night! That's about it for now. I woke up way to early for me this morning so I am gonna go get some stuff done while I have the energy to do it!:)

Busy!

Well, our weekend went by fast.Friday night was great. We BBQ with our next door neighbors Sean, Heather and their 1 year old Christian. The food was good. I baked some more BBQ beans, cut up a salad and brought some veggies to grill up.It was a really good time and we found out we have lots in common. Saturday morning Stephanie (our neighbor in front of us) came over and we hung out for a while before the BBQ. Our next door neighbor Jim also came by to see when we all were to head out. And Chris got to see the model train set Jim has been working on over the months since he moved in to his house. It's really a cool thing to see and watch. Once it was time to head out we all met outside our house (all 8 of us). There wasn't tons of people at the BBQ but we did get to meet some more young couples who either have babies or who want babies. One couple Todd and Sarah ended up hanging around with us for most of the day. We went back and forth between our houses. But we ended up at Sarah and Todds late so we decided since we all are trying to live on a budget we would cook up some dinner together. After that my brother ended up coming up with our friend Zach and we all hung out till about 1am.

Sunday morning my parents brought up their truck with a washer and dryer and a Christmas tree. One of our friends is moving and he can't take anymore of his stuff so Chris and I got to have what was left. The washer at this point doesn't work but Chris thinks he might have found the problem. (hopefully we have been without a washer and dryer for almost a year). We also have this beautiful 9 foot Christmas tree now and a BUNCH of Christmas stuff. Last year Chris and I were talking about how we really needed a more dramatic size tree in our house because of our vaulted ceilings. We new we didn't have the extra money to waste on a bigger tree so we didn't bother to even look at buying one at the end of season. Look how great God is, we are so blessed! We have more ornaments now and more Christmas stuff then we may even need. What we can't use we are sharing with our neighbors because they also don't have the money to waste on Christmas stuff. We are so excited. So please pray Chris can fix the problem with not to much money spent.

The washer torn apart in the garage along with the Christmas tree which is in pieces!

Our basement is a mess but here's just some of the Christmas Stuff that was given to us.

After my parents took off I started cleaning my car out and our neighbors on the far end of our houses ended up walking by. We said hi and started talking. This is the 2nd time in a year we have run into each other. They both are VERY busy. But we found out she is pregnant and due in Jan. We told them about all the neighbors we knew and they said they both would love to have everyone over so we can all get to know each other. It's super exciting to have built up this mass of friends who all live close by and who all are working hard and trying to get some where. There's 14 of us now. Chris and I just love it! After we talked for awhile I went out front to water and Sean, Heather and Christian were playing with a bubble machine so we all hung around for a little then the storm rolled in. Chris and I went to the store and we got some food for the week. So now I have bunch to cook! During the preparation Stephanie came buy to hang out.We both LOVE the SIMS2 so we played that for awhile until it was time for all of us to hit the hay. So that sums up our weekend. It was VERY busy and we had a great time meeting all our new friends. It's really neat how we all get along very well. Everyone is very easy going.

So that's about it for now! I got to start cooking. It's a nice rainy like day out to day. I love it cause it makes me want to cook and clean. I am excited for winter for the first time!

It's Friday

It's Friday again! We got plans today to BBQ with our next door neighbors tonight. We are looking forward to that but that means I need to go get some food cooking.:) Saturday we plan to go with a few neighbors up the street to our neighborhood BBQ. One of our neighbors (down from us...Stephine and Adam) are getting married out of state so I am going to visit with her this weekend and see all her wedding stuff. I'm excited. Stephine and me seem to enjoy the same things so we always have something to do or talk about.

We only got to really know all our neighbors the past 2 weeks and we are all really get along well together. It's been so much fun. We are planing cooking nights together and we all just drop by each others house when were not busy.Chris and I are enjoying it very much. You never know how well you will get along with people that live that close to you. Thank God, that he has blessed with friends.

So are weekend should be busy again. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Labor Day Weekend..

Wow, was it a busy weekend for us. Friday night started off with us helping Nathan load up some more of his stuff from his moms to take to his house. We spent a few hours helping him move and riding around in the Uhaul. Chris still had a couple items that he left at his moms house so we got to get those moved up here. While we were unloading at our house Chris spotted a Praying Mantice (However you spell it)on our garage outside light.

I thought it was pretty cool! I don't think he liked me taking pictures of him though. He kept getting weird every time the flash went off! :)Poor Guy!

Saturday we had to run on some errands in the Springs and then we had to head back home to get stuff done. Sunday Chris worked on Nathans car. Nate's been having some car problems. So Chris was trying to get it fixed up. While Chris worked on his car I spent my time cooking for my parents Labor Day party. I brought a ton of different food dishes. They all turned out good so that was a plus.

Labor Day we headed down to my parents house. Everyone that was invited brought something to share. So there was plenty of food and dessert to go around.I invited my neighbors to come down too. So that was nice. Everyone had fun hanging out, talking, playing football, volleyball, horse shoes, bad mitten, ping pong and of course air hockey! Miro and I enjoyed taking some pictures of a few friends. Miros favorite thing!

Everyone getting food.....

The food......

Enjoying the food...

Hanging out...

Groupies..... :)

My Dad bought some cigars for everyone. My Grandpa use to smoke them I guess....It seems like a few people enjoyed them!

Football...

Quite a few people played. No one got hurt to bad. My dad and brother were limping afterwards though.:) Everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves. The party lasted awhile. I ended up staying up and visiting my Aunt. She just moved here from Arizona. So that's exciting. We use to live by each other when I was little. So it's nice to have that again. I wish all my extended family lived closer.

My Dad and his Daughters... (relaxing after he hurt himself playing football)

After labor day....(Tuesday) I helped out one of our family friends pack up to move and then on Wednesday I helped watch Leslie's grandkids by the pool. So we got to enjoy the pool one last time. That was very enjoyable I must say! I am going to miss hanging out by their pool. It's beautiful and relaxing! But winter is coming.....
