Pool Time

Well, I have spent most of my week at the pool. Not to much stuff has gotten done around the house... but that's ok. Summer is short here and I have to get the pool time in when I can!:) But we did clean up my old room at my parents house. That was a lot of work. So that's good. We are trying to get organized and finish up things that need to be finished up. Chris and I have also been upgrading our house over this past month. We want to get the house further along and more organized so it will make things a little easier when we have a baby. We still haven't decided when we want to try again for a little one. We're scared to go through this process again. So please keep us in your prayers. We have thought about trying for a summer baby for next summer. But we don't know. We are going to pray about it first. Well, that's about it for now. (I'm sorry no picture) We have to load up the pictures of the camera but we don't have our back up drive at the moment.but soon... then I will post some!

Chris's B-day Party

Saturday evening we had a b-day party for Chris. Nothing to big or crazy. Just some family and friends came over and hung out. But it was a really nice time. Before they came over it was REALLY hot outside so our neighbor offered us to us his house if need be. (he has AC) But a huge cloud cover came over and cooled it off. So that was nice. Chris invited some a few friends but most of them were busy. But that's ok because it turned out really nice. (normally we just get together as families anyways)

Some Family Hanging out on our front porch!

Coby, Allie, and Ericka

Jim and Chris

After we ate it was time to have some cake...... I got Chris a mid size Chocolate cake! He was excited!

While everyone was hanging outside and eating cake, Chris opened a few cards and gifts.

Then we all stayed outside, hung out on the porch and played some games.

Chris and Allie.... awe

Allie and Me having fun

Well, that was Chris b-day. Once we get Chris Computer back I will load everything of off the camera and I will have some room to take pictures of what we have done with the house so far. We have been working as much as we can to get things done. Still a lot to be done.... but we are working are way there.

Hard Times
Current mood: sad

I just wanted to thank everyone who has been there for me this past week. Your words of encouragement and your supportive letters have helped a lot. I have heard from a lot of people I would have never thought really cared and yet they did. Thank you!

This week has been more emotionally and physically draining then I ever thought it would be. I had the question in the back of my mind that I could lose the baby but I never thought it would be a reality. Sunday night when I started to bleed one of my parents neighbors came over to see how much because she had gone through the same thing. She told me it didn't look good but she wasn't sure. As I sat on the tile floor of my parents home I told her I couldn't handle it. I told her if I miscarried I would shot myself. I couldn't imagine losing my baby. Tears filled my eye's as she left and I walked away. That night before I went to bed I told Chris that i felt like I was losing our baby. I had a huge knot in my stomach. I just knew something wasn't right. I woke up to what i thought would be 5 in the morning and it was only 2:30. I asked Chris to go to the bathroom with me and that's when I knew it was it. I started bleeding more. I knew it was over. There was nothing I could do. But I couldn't believe it was true.

After being in the ER and watching the ultra sound, I knew it was over. I knew I had lost the baby I had been so excited about. They baby I was trying to take good care of didn't make it. After the doctor said a few unkind words of "do you even know when your period was"... "maybe you aren't even pregnant" he returned to the room to inform me that I was going through a miscarriage.( I don't know why people are so cruel.Like I really needed that.) After Chris and I cried for awhile they removed my IV and released me from the hospital. They gave me no information on what I was about to go through.... One of the worst days of my life.

That day as I laid on the couch in hopes that maybe there was a chance, my doctor said they could be wrong and that I would need to come in the next day to make sure. A few hours later the horrible pain I had heard about for a miscarriage began.... my hope fell through. I knew it was over. As I screamed in pain and in horriable saddness for what seemed to be an hour I finally miscarried our baby. Thankfully I had such a supporting husband and mother to hold my hand through it all. I don't know how Chris managed to keep himself strong but he did. I could see the saddness and pain in his eye's yet he tried so hard to be there for me instead.

Yesterday I woke up in major pain and I was dreading the day that had dawned once again. I had to go in again to see the baby that was no longer there. Thankfully I have no more visit. I really couldn't handle much more.

They doctors said to wait awhile before we try again. So please pray for us. Chris and I really would like to have a baby, but we want it in Gods time. We are so scared to go through this again but I know I can't let our fear overcome us wanting a baby.

If anyone wants to write, call or visit they are more then welcome too. I am not the kind of person who needs space. I need the support of my friends. It's been ruff being at home today. I feel even more alone. They told me it may take awhile to feel the loss.... but I already feel it. It's so hard to feel pregnant and then have it all disappear in a night. I can't even express the pain I am in right now. It's more then i would have ever imagined. It seems as though my headache will be here awhile until the tears can't flow anymore.

Thanks to all of you who have been there. I don't know what i would do without you!

Thanks for all the support.

Vanessa

Chris's B-day

This past Tuesday was Chris's 25th b-day! We were suppose to go to Vegas but that didn't work out after what happened the week before, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway!

Monday afternoon I showed up to Chris's work with Balloons. I wanted everyone at his work to know it was his birthday the following day! (He took the day off for his b-day so I had to tease him on Monday) I haven't been feeling to well since the miscarriage so Chris was shocked when I pulled into his work and told him the exact car he was working on.... he was like "what.... where are you" He had went out the back door when I called so he wasn't at his bay. It was pretty funny. After that we went out to lunch and then I had to head out to run on errands for his b-day. (I had been feeling horrible the week before so I hadn't had time to do anything yet.) When I was on my errands I had some form of heat stroke, I couldn't see straight and I got super hot everywhere and started sweating out of no where. I rushed to get some water and then headed straight home. Chris decided to head home after that... so it worked out nice for us because we went out to an early dinner. We decided to go to this Italian Restaurant that we had gotten a gift card too. And oh my gosh was the food good. Chris loved it. Then we headed home to watch a movie outside on or portable DVD player. It was a lot of fun! The next morning (his b-day) I got up early and decorated the dinning area and set up his presents. Then around 10:30 ish I went and got him and we had a little celebration together. It was fun! I decorated half the stuff with "25" and half "Transformers". He LOVED it!

(You can't really see it but at the bottom it says "....Not!"

After he read this I told him to clothes his eyes and I put a Transformers mask on him and made him go downstairs... see his stuff.... then go in the bathroom to see what he was wearing on his face. He laughed! Chris loves to be a kid so it was fun to give him a half kid b-day!

He got some clothes and money for his b-day... but most of all his main gift from me is a Calender (of just pictures) of me. It hasn't been finished. But it's almost done. Everyone at his work has pictures of women up so I figured I would have some fun and do a calender of me! Chris is excited!

After he opened gifts we hurried out to get to the pool! (My mom's neighbor... who is also a good friend, opens her pool to a few families each summer.... It's so nice and a lot of fun!)

Allie gave Chris her presents there.....

Enjoying the pool..... ( I am not allowed to swim until next week due to healing after the miscarriage)

Once it was time to close up the pool we headed over to my parents house and got ready to go out to eat! When we arrived my Mom had her present set up for Chris!

Since Chris LOVES Chocolate Milk SO much... she made him a "Got Chocolate Milk Cup" and gave him all different types of C. Milk. He also got money and a gift card from Aaron!

PF Changs

"Happy Birthday to Chris"

Having Some Fun!

After dinner we had to go to 7-11 to get a Squishee for Chris! (All the Simpson's stuff is there)

We are having a party Saturday for him... since his family wasn't able to see him on his b-day. I will post some pictures of that!

The rest of the week I spent at the pool... sorry for not blogging lately. Life's been a little ruff. I didn't even feel like waking up.... the last thing I wanted to do was post anything. But life's gotten better. We are working through it together. Chris's b-day was a start of a better week. I just want the bleeding to stop. Hopefully by next Tuesday. Please keep us in your prayers!

Upsetting News

I just got home from the ER. I started spotting yesterday afternoon, and around 2:40ish in the morning I woke up to a lot more bleeding. We decided to go to the hospital because I just didn't feel right about it. They did the ultra sound and we saw the sack but no baby. So right now I am in the process of a miscarriage. It's been a horrible day for us.So please keep us in your prayers.

My sister also has her MRI today. SO we are a little worried! If you would pray for her to that would be great!

Summer Time

Today I spent time with my Mom and Allie in Colorado Springs. Allie had her music lesson today... so that was fun to be able to see her practice singing. After Allie's lesson we went over to the Briergate Shops and looked at some house stuff and of course stuff for the baby. (I have received a few gifts from the family. I will have to post some pictures of that when I get take them!:))When we were shopping at Pottery Barn I saw some cute stuff for the tub so my Mom got the items for us! Thanks Momma!

Here's some of the items my mom got us today!

After we got some stuff done in the Springs we headed back to my parents house and we had some fun in the water!

My poor Mom was freezing... but I made her be in a picture!:)

Eventually Chris got home and we had dinner and now we are just hanging around and I am about to go play some games with them and then watch a movie!!!

The 4th

The 4th went really well. We ended up spending the night at my parents house so we wouldn't have to wake up super early to go to the parade. Almost every year since I have lived in Colorado and Chris too, we have gone to the Monument parade. It use to be a little town thing and now it's huge. There is SO many... actually TO many people that that go to it now.But what can you do!?

Well, we ended up getting to the parade a little late, but that was okay because we got to walk around and just stand where we wanted too.I think my mom enjoys the parade the most because she knows SO many people in Monument, which means we get the most freebies and candy then anyone there! So, that's always fun. Our little one is going to love her! After the parade they have the main street blocked off for vendors. So we all enjoyed some lunch and snow cones before we headed back to my parents house. Once we got back to my parents home we all just kinda hung around. Everyone but Allie and I were super lazy.... so eventually I got to be lazy myself.... then I started to get tired. Yes, I am starting to get tired more easily now. I hate it. But Chris loves it because he doesn't have to go to bed with out me. Normally I am up till like 1:00 am. Not anymore!

Anyways....here are some pictures of the parade and us!

During Dinner Debbie (Chris mom) arrived. She had to work on the 4th. That was a bummer! But at least we all got to hang out. We played some games and then we headed to palmer lake to see the fire works. Once again... something that use to be a small town thing became and HUGE event. So we watched from a distance. We did not want to get stuck in the tiny town of Palmer Lake with all the traffic! It was so beautiful leaving the fireworks... Palmer Lake has a HUGE star on the mountain that they light up for Christmas and holidays and this fourth they turned it red, white and blue. It was the neatest looking thing. (Debbie went home for the fireworks... so I do not have any pictures of her)

My mom would hate this picture of herself.... but she hates being in pictures so i would never have one if I didn't just make her take one. It's not her real smile.... but oh well. She is beautiful even if she hates being in front of the camera!

So that was our 4th of July. Next year everything will be SO different with the baby! We both hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July!
