Cookin' and Stayin' Busy

Chris and I have been staying busy. I have been working on my cooking skills while Chris has been staying busy at work. The other night I made homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette Chicken with homemade mash potatoes, and veggies. Nothing frozen or out of a bottle. I am pretty proud!:) I have also been cooking a lot of other things but we really enjoyed that meal. I want to be a good cook so when I have kids I can serve them up some good meals like my mother did for us. But boy is it work. But I am getting it down so it gets easier for me the more I do it.

I changed our bedroom around. We both seem to like it better this way.

The bed use to be against the left wall. But I have been in some model homes and seen the bed the way I turned it with half Curtains.(Like the picture below) And I really liked the feeling of it better.

With the bed this way we don't have the neighbors looking at us laying in bed when we want our windows open. I think it feels a lot cozier.

Our bedroom looks like crap at the moment. But when we have the extra money we will change it. We are going to paint the bed Black. And do something fun. I am still putting my ideas together. Chris seems to like what I have showed him so far. I let him choose too. It's my idea but he has say whether he likes it or not! We both seem to like the same things, so that works out nice. You guys should me happy I showed you what our bedroom looks like... (We are pretty ashamed of our master bedroom!)

Oh and Miro sent me some more pictures from our photo shoot for Chris's calendar. I hope they don't offend you!:)I am just in a bathing suit!

In a feild... getting eaten by ants! :)

Thanks to the Boehms for allowing me to use their pool for this photoshoot!

Can you guess where this picture was taken??

(Answer: the picture was taken in my parents living room with a backdrop. I jumped in the shower to "pretend like I had been swimming" and then ran over and took pictures. I thought it turned out pretty cool. I was freezing though)

The other guys have pictures of girls, Chris gets to have them of his wife. I am pretty excited about it and how they turned out. I still have a lot more to see. I can't wait to see them. I have a lot of artistic ones too I just haven't seen them yet! Here are a few pictures that were also taken for his Calendar.

So, that's about it for now. We are going to be cooking a lot this weekend. my parents are having a Labor Day party and we are bringing a few food dishes! I will try and get some pictures! Have a great weekend and be safe!

It's So HOT!

Well, summer is coming to an end but it sure doesn't feel like that at our house. It's been in the 90's and it hasn't been dropping.Allie is back in school. I finally got my camera so I could load up the pictures and start taking some more!

Here's a picture of Allie's first day back to school!

She is growing up SO fast. She soon will have braces to move her teeth down. Allie is very excited about it! I can't believe she is old enough already to have them.... I told her that she is making me feel old. It feels like yesterday when my mom was pregnant with her. :)

I think I mentioned I got my hair cut off by almost a foot. And I have a picture this time for you....

I am enjoying the change but I will most likely grow it out a little. I am use to longer hair but I wanted a change for the winter. Something new!

This past week Chris and I have had a blast. We went to Comedy Works in Downtown Denver with one of our neighbors. He invited us to go with him and we had a really good time. We hope to go at least once a month. Then he invited us over for a party on Saturday and a few of our neighbors on his strip of homes came by and we got to know them.So Sunday we all got together again. One of the couples is getting married next year and the other one has a baby girl. It's been nice to finally make some friends who live right by us. This winter shall be fun when we all are stuck in!We also have a neighbor to the right of us and she is my age and her husband is Chris age. So we have a bunch of people to hangout with and get to know. We are so glad God has blessed us with so many fun and enjoyable people! You never know who you are going to end up living by when you move. So, were excited. I am sure Chris is running low on energy though. We have been up a lot of the nights till 1am visiting! And with the horrible allergies we are sure getting tired! :) But it's been worth it. A lot of the girls are at home by themselves a lot so I have company now! And we all can help each other out. One of our neighbors Stephanie and Adam tiled their bathrooms too so they offered for us to use their wet saw and maybe some ideas and help! And we offered to help with the wedding planning. We are looking forward to the company and friendship!

I think that's it for now. I need to get back to cleaning around the house. I will get more pictures more often since i can load em up now! Remember you can e-mail us at campbellnewlyweds@yahoo.com. Keep in touch. We'd love to hear from you!

Nothin' exciting!

I know I haven't posted anything in awhile. Not to much has changed. We are just trying to figure out how we are going to pay off our bills. Now with the hospital ones arriving in the mail. We really wanted to just let things happen and see if God blesses us with a baby. But at this point I don't think we are going to do that. We really think we should try and pay off what we owe and then try. It's very disappointing but the last thing we want to do is burden or familes with our bills. Everything we do we pay cash for, the only credit card debt we have is from Chris going to school. Besides that we don't use them. And I am proud of that. But it makes for harder times when you only live with what you have and what you need to pay off. Everything we have done has been with our money, not our parents. Hopefully in the near future we can look forward to having a baby. So if you could keep us in your prayers and pray that God blesses us with enough money to get things straightened out. Chris has been shortend on hours and losing time from my miscarriage. So we just pray work will stay steady and we can get rid of these med bills! And be able to put the money towards finshing our house and getting ready for a baby. Maybe in a few years! Will see what God has instore. If he feels that's what he wants for us then maybe you will see a mini us sooner then we plan!:)

So, for now..... no more house stuff. Nothing to exciting.:) I did cut my hair.... by like a foot. I will post pictures soon. Allie has my camera because she needed to get some pictures of her first days of school. Once I get that back I will post some pictures of that.... and my hair! I can't think of to much else exciting going on.Oh I am looking for a job.... but with something I like to do. If we aren't going to have kids for awhile then I want to do something I like to do! Pray that works out too! Want to finish some stuff around the house, pay off bills and save some money. Will see..... it never seems to work anyways!!!So I guess that's it for now!

Everything About The House!

Okay so I made a little room on my camera so I could take some pictures of the house. When we have had some free time we have been working on the house. Last weekend we went to Boulder to see Nathans (chris brother) new place. So,of course we got nothing done. But it was great to finally see where Nate lives now, since he graduated! Hopefully if we get time this weekend we will get some more stuff done. I am calling a lady (who I heard has good prices on blinds) this next week so hopefully we can get the shutters ordered for our living room and kitchen. Their extremely pricey so that's most likely all we will be ordering. And I also finally found a paint color that I like. It doesn't perfectly match the carpet but we will rip out the carpet when we have extra money to do so. That's been the plan since day 1! So I should be calling my friends dad who is a painter to see how much it will cost for him to paint all the high ceiling areas. We also will be looking at tile. We need to put a back splash in and tile the bathrooms. We would like to go with travertine tile. It is what we have on our fireplace if you haven't heard of it before. I guess it's getting to be more popular then granite in expensive homes. I have just always liked the natural and neutral look of it. We also have a ceiling fan we bought awhile back that needs to be installed in the living room. The problem is, it is SO freakin' high up. So, hopefully we will get some help with that and get that installed sometime soon. We are hoping to start working on putting shelfs up in our entertainment area. We will be making them. Which means I have to find a stain that matches the other wood colors in the house. But it will be nice to finally have that in so I can put up some pictures and it will help complete the look. I also need to fill in the plant shelf area above the TV. Still trying to figure what I want to go there.

The TV that's their isn't the TV that we plan on keeping there. Once we want to spend our extra money on a flat screen one we will. We would rather get other things done first. I tried that paint on the fascia part of the wall. I wanted to see how it looked downstairs. It looks better in person. For some reason it looks like it clashes with the fireplace tile. That's a camera for ya! Oh and a few weeks back Nate helped us install my surround sound. That's something else we got done!

Way up above the fireplace, as you can see! We bought 3 of those metal art things. We don't have a latter high enough to be able to hang them up. But we will get that done when we have it painted. So, that area will be finished! Oh yea and the back wall of the out cove and entertainment center is going to be painted a lighter color. Mix things up a little. It should look good once it's all done. Hopefully! :)

Awhile back I mentioned Chris installed the knobs in the kitchen... well this is what it looks like...
Nate helped Chris install the pulls. That was the worst part. Chris didn't mind the knobs but he dreaded installing the pulls. But with Nates help they got it done in no time!

As you can see Chris also had installed under cabinet lights awhile back. It will look awesome once we have the back splash done! Or at least we hope so!:)

The dining area...I got my ideas for that... I am so excited! It won't be so drab anymore. The picture makes it look worse then it is.. or at least I think so!

As you can see in the picture to the right, there's a chalk board and above that is a ledge. I want to put the chalk board in the middle and run shelving above to display pictures. I think it will make this area feel a little cozier! So that's the plan! I got lots of ordering to do! ( I had this idea awhile back and I kept telling Chris I wasn't sure if that would look stupid. Then I saw this picture in Pottery Barn and I was so excited to see that it actually looked good!)

On the way up stairs, it felt so blank so we bought these two things. I really like them. Once again, it looks better in person and once this area is painted, it should really pop out!

To the left side we will be putting in a wall of pictures! I can't wait! I have so many I would like to display. I think pictures make a house feel more like your home!

Upstairs in the loft area.... It's almost done. We have a few things to order. I am getting two book shelfs from Pottery Barn.

That will go to the right, behind the desk area.

This is what the Book Cases look like. We will be getting ours in white!

Well, for now that's it. Once I get some more time I will post our plans for the 1st floor bathroom. We got lots of ideas and work to do! Hope you have enjoyed the update on the house projects. It's about time I finally got around to telling everyone what we have been doing!

See..... I haven't been totally lazy this summer

Summer is almost over!

I still can't load my pictures off my camera! Soon... I hope!

I spent this past week at the pool.... again! It was a bit cooler then normal. Their heater went out but we still made the best of it.Chris was able to join us one day. Which was really nice. He also had to go to the Chiropractor. So it all worked out nice. Chris's foot and legs keep hurting him and we found out he needs to wear supports because he is more flat footed. Which is causing him a lot of pain!

Summer is almost over... boo hoo. Despite the hard times I think it's been an overall really good summer. A bunch of the nights we spent playing capture the flag. It was such a blast. A few of our (parents) neighbors (who are pretty much family) came over and we stayed out from 9 to midnight most nights. I haven't been so sore in along time. It sure wore Chris down too. But it was worth it. We all had such a blast. Being a kid is always fun. Oh and I was on the winning team! YEA! (I found the flag... actually a cone... every time but once)

And the week before that I forgot to add I spent from 8am till 8pm doing a photoshoot for Chris's b-day. Of course his b-day passed. But one of my gifts to him was a Calendar of pictures of me! At his work a lot of guys have calendars up of woman so I figured I would make him his own special one.

I took a shower 2 times that day and did my hair and make up 4 times. It was crazy. I was SO tired by the end of the day.(Allie got some pictures taken too... I can't wait to see them.) I am still waiting. I will post them when I receive them.

I gotten eaten alive by ants. It was pretty painful.

Well, that's about it for now! Back to cleaning house!

Pool Time

Well, I have spent most of my week at the pool. Not to much stuff has gotten done around the house... but that's ok. Summer is short here and I have to get the pool time in when I can!:) But we did clean up my old room at my parents house. That was a lot of work. So that's good. We are trying to get organized and finish up things that need to be finished up. Chris and I have also been upgrading our house over this past month. We want to get the house further along and more organized so it will make things a little easier when we have a baby. We still haven't decided when we want to try again for a little one. We're scared to go through this process again. So please keep us in your prayers. We have thought about trying for a summer baby for next summer. But we don't know. We are going to pray about it first. Well, that's about it for now. (I'm sorry no picture) We have to load up the pictures of the camera but we don't have our back up drive at the moment.but soon... then I will post some!

Chris's B-day Party

Saturday evening we had a b-day party for Chris. Nothing to big or crazy. Just some family and friends came over and hung out. But it was a really nice time. Before they came over it was REALLY hot outside so our neighbor offered us to us his house if need be. (he has AC) But a huge cloud cover came over and cooled it off. So that was nice. Chris invited some a few friends but most of them were busy. But that's ok because it turned out really nice. (normally we just get together as families anyways)

Some Family Hanging out on our front porch!

Coby, Allie, and Ericka

Jim and Chris

After we ate it was time to have some cake...... I got Chris a mid size Chocolate cake! He was excited!

While everyone was hanging outside and eating cake, Chris opened a few cards and gifts.

Then we all stayed outside, hung out on the porch and played some games.

Chris and Allie.... awe

Allie and Me having fun

Well, that was Chris b-day. Once we get Chris Computer back I will load everything of off the camera and I will have some room to take pictures of what we have done with the house so far. We have been working as much as we can to get things done. Still a lot to be done.... but we are working are way there.
